COVID-19: Merck Animal Health’s commitment

April 1, 2021

Dear Customer,

On behalf of your partners at Merck Animal Health, we sincerely hope you and your loved ones are healthy and safe.

As we continue to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic, we are committed to adhere to the guidance from authorities while providing you with service of the highest quality.

While we continue to primarily recommend virtual interactions, we may engage in face to face interactions under certain circumstances.

Merck Animal Health has implemented safety measures thatmay be more stringent than some of the local guidelines, but which are committed to ensuring the safety of our employees and your teams:

  1. We follow all local, provincial and national regulations.
  2. If your region’s guidance allows face-to-face meetings and our employee is able to follow the required guidelines, then your Merck Animal Health representative may contact you if there is a business need for an in-person visit and discuss your individual protocols before setting up an appointment.
  3. Our representatives will wear a face mask to protect you and your team and respect rules for social distancing (2 m) at all times. Additionally, we are providing hand sanitizer to our representatives, in accordance with recommendations from the Canadian Animal Health Institute.
  4. Each morning, our representatives will be asked to take their temperature before leaving their home. Any employee who has a fever or shows signs of illness – whether consistent with a COVID-19 infection or not – will be required to quarantine until cleared, per the guidelines. Likewise, we respectfully ask that you inform our representative if you or any of your staff are showing symptoms so we can reschedule the appointment.

While we navigate this together, Merck Animal Health’s primary goal will remain the health and safety of all.

Thank you for your ongoing partnership.

Regards,

Daniel Beauchamp
